Root-Cause Issues:  We have executed many projects where by deploying Caliber Digital Process we were able to identify the issues, provide redesign recommendations, and validate it using engineering simulation. This has allowed our clients to respond to their customer pain points on time eliminating further quality and warranty issues.

Caliber Digital Process typically involves several stages from ideation to launch. While the specifics may vary depending on the industry and company,

  1. Target Setting: Use of digital/virtual tools are deployed to analyze competitive products in virtual environment. By objectifying the competitive information, it allows to set up a specific objective targets to be met at a overall system level, sub=system level and at a component level.
  2. Concept Definition: Simulation tools are used to define the concepts. Preliminary analysis along with packaging etc is deployed here to ensure that concept can meet high level performance targets defined in ‘target setting’ phase and the concept is capable of being packaged in the environment.
  3. Concept Selection: The Pugh matrix is deployed to select the best concept among the multiple concepts. It helps in making informed decisions by objectively assessing different concepts based on their attributes and performance against predefined criteria. Again, all or most of the concepts are analyzed in a virtual environment against the targets.
  4. Design/DV/Tooling: Design verification is a crucial step in the product development process where you ensure that the product’s design meets the specified requirements and performs as intended. It involves testing and analysis to confirm that the design outputs meet the design inputs, and it typically occurs before moving into the next phases of development such as validation and production. Analytical/virtual models are correlated here and further refined. At times, hybrid models are created. This infrastructure helps weed out any high risk failure mode of DFMEA/SFMEA.
